KI-AD100 Installation Instructions for Tomix turnout

Let’s see how to install DCC decoder on Tomix turnout.

Take the electrical switch machine (maybe a solenoid motor) apart from turnout.


Come off the PCB after undo five screws.


Remove solder mask in the opposite side as figure to shorten all rails together.

Prepare two wires with 7 cm.


Solder the wires on the PCB as figure which marked in RED circle.


Cut a hole in the edge of turnout for wires pass-through.


Assemble the PCB back and install the screws.

Assemble electrical switch machine (maybe a solenoid motor) back and prepare one DCC decoder.


Solder the wires onto the marked points of DCC decoder.

Cut the wire which belonged to electrical switch machine (maybe a solenoid motor) with suitable length.


Solder“the wire which belonged to electrical switch machine” to DCC decoder.


Please note that the wires shall be soldered in correct position (that is the wire with white line shall be soldered on the bottom point of the DCC decoder as figure.

Suggest to protect DCC decoder and wires by heat shrink tubing from abrasion, corrosion and dust.
